Mobile app UI/UX design for KurdGoal — a live football scores app for Kurdish fans, adapted from English into a full right-to-left Kurdish experience.
Headquartered in Iraqi Kurdistan, NGC is a leading digital service provider aiming to accelerate digital transformation of Kurdistan and promote Kurdish culture.
NGC called on Marcato to design a mobile application for their Sports Magazine KurdGoal that provides live scores, stats, news feeds and match highlights in the Kurdish language for the Kurds in Iraq and Greater Kurdistan.
The challenge was the designs were crafted in English while the final app language was Kurdish which made language adaptation a vital factor of the design due to Kurdish’s longer language length and right-to-left reading order. Also a tons of graphics, infographics, and more data visualizations were used to improve the reading experience and the overall user experience of the app.
