A grumpy little monkey in six colorways. Cute because it's too cool to care.
Mud Monkey is a blind box designer toy series built around one simple feeling: the grumpy face.
We wanted a character that looks like it's judging you — thick eyebrows, half-closed eyes, a flat expression. Not cute in the obvious way. Cute because it's too cool to care.
Every Mud Monkey has the same body — chubby, rounded, clay-textured. The head tuft is a little "X" shape. The belly carries a spiral mark that changes color with each variant.
What makes each monkey different is the color:
The clay texture is intentional. It gives the character a handmade, physical feel — like something you'd pick up and squeeze. The proportions are rounded and squishy, with short limbs and a big belly. The grumpy expression is the personality anchor: it works across every colorway because the attitude stays the same.
The spiral on the belly is the brand mark — it doubles as the "O" in "Hello Monkey." It's simple enough to print on packaging, stickers, and merchandise without losing readability.
Four regular colorways plus two hidden ones. The secret variants (Grass and Gray) use desaturated colors to feel rare — they look special without being flashy. The name "Mud Monkey" keeps it grounded: these are little grumps you keep on your desk.
