Puff is an original 3D designer toy character series. Four girls, four personalities, four outfits.
We weren't designing a generic "cute character." We wanted girls who feel like real people you'd walk past on the street — the skater in checkered socks, the retro girl with a red scarf, the vacationer in an octopus swimsuit, the barista in an apron.
We started with 2D sketches to lock each character's personality keywords: street, retro, vacation, everyday. Then moved to 3D — gray clay models first to confirm proportions and silhouettes, then refined clothing folds and material textures.
Each character is anchored by a distinct hair color — warm orange, brown-pink, blue-purple, mint green. Even at thumbnail size, you can tell them apart.
Every character wears different materials: satin jacket sheen, knit sweater texture, stretch swimsuit fabric, canvas apron. The hair has a clay-like matte finish, not plastic.
When all four stand together, the colors and personalities talk to each other. They're not the same model with different colors swapped in — each has its own outfit logic and expression.
Puff from Power Puffs
Puff is the first character from the Power Puffs series which features 20 unique characters with diverse looks and personalities. Puff is made recognizable by her signature big head and fluffy hair, and the oversized blingy eyes. She is a wholesome girl with a sweet nature and a heart of gold.
