Gao Xiaoxia is a mascot design for the cultural and creative brand of Yangtze River Delta Railway. According to the demand of the client, we focused on six keywords - "China speed", "future technology", "affinity", "warmth", "love" and "companion" and created a high-tech version of Jiangnan Knight. Character Traits: ultra-fast speed, extraordinary intelligence, chatty and warmhearted.

As a representative of the Yangtze River Delta Railway, Gao Xiaoxia helps passengers solve difficulties and provides warm companionship to passengers during their journeys. He has a super healing smile and strong problem-solving ability, and is deeply loved by passengers.

Overview
The Yangtze River Delta Railway is one of China’s busiest and most advanced rail networks. To strengthen its cultural and creative brand identity, we were commissioned to design a mascot that captures the spirit of modern rail travel – and the result is Gao Xiaoxia.

Design Concept
The client’s brief centered on six core keywords: “China speed,” “future technology,” “affinity,” “warmth,” “love,” and “companion.” We interpreted these as a call to create a character that feels both futuristic and deeply human. Gao Xiaoxia is a high‑tech incarnation of the Jiangnan Knight – a figure that draws from the rich cultural heritage of the Yangtze River Delta region while looking confidently toward tomorrow.

Character Traits
Gao Xiaoxia is defined by three standout qualities:

• Ultra‑fast speed – a nod to the bullet trains that define the railway’s identity
• Extraordinary intelligence – capable of solving problems with ease
• Chatty and warmhearted – always ready for a friendly conversation

As the railway’s official representative, Gao Xiaoxia assists passengers in need and offers warm companionship throughout their journeys. His super‑healing smile and strong problem‑solving ability have made him deeply loved by travelers.
